HOW TO MAKE YOUR MONEY- MAKING ACTIVITIES YOUR DAILY PRIORITY

Having a stream of ideal clients is a dream come true to every business owner and the key to making money with ease and pleasure. Creating time for consistent marketing is one of the things that I help my clients do.

Many small business owners are “so busy” that they “forget” that marketing is what brings clients and income into their business.

But, LACK OF CONSISTENT MARKETING = LACK OF CONSISTENT REVENUE! Today I’m sharing with you THE 5 STEPS TO MAKE MONEY MAKING ACTIVITIES YOUR PRIORITY.

1. MONEY – MAKING ACTIVITIES VERSUS NON MONEY – MAKING ACTIVITIES

Many small business owners are so busy with managing the day to day tasks a.k.a. minutiae and they put their marketing on the back burner. They mistake being “busy” with being focused on tasks that help them grow their revenue.

Activities like; answering calls, emails, preparing for meetings, sending materials are not money-making activities! They often take up too much of our time and energy but they don’t create revenue. In addition, most of these tasks can be easily delegated.

Lack of consistent marketing creates highs and lows in the business revenue.

TIP: I invite you to review your daily activities and see what you focus on each day.

  • How many of your tasks can you delegate to free some of your time for marketing?
  • Is it time to finally hire an assistant and to allow you the time to grow your business faster?

2. CREATE BUSINESS REVENUE GROWTH DAYS

I don’t know about you, but I’m not very effective when I feel rushed. The idea of squeezing some time for marketing here and there does not feel on brand for me.

A few years ago, when I worked with one of my coaches, I started creating Business Revenue Growth Days. The more I stayed committed to have one full day that was dedicated to marketing and focusing on money making activities only, the more successful I became.

TIP: This strategy will also help you if you are willing to try it.

When you have a full day and space to work on your marketing, chances are that you will be in a more creative mode. More inspired ideas will come, and you will have the time to implement them.

3. REVIEW YOUR CALENDAR AND CREATE TIME FOR MARKETING

Many people ask me, “How much time do I need to dedicate to attracting new clients and boosting my sales?”

In addition to your Business Revenue Growth Day, I recommend at least one – two hours daily if you want to see results. The truth is, many small business owners rarely invest that much time in their marketing in an entire week.

I often hear, “I don’t have that much time to spend on marketing.”

That brings us to the very important point; how do you manage your time and what is it that you do that is taking most of your time?

As importantly, are you accomplishing the must do marketing milestones you have set for yourself?

TIP: I invite you to keep an activity log for a week and see what tasks take most of your time. Once you have learned to delegate you then need to keep yourself accountable for spending sufficient time on marketing and other money-making activities. The first step is to keep track of the way you spend your time and what you are actually achieving compared to the goals you have set for yourself. Measure both the time you are committing to marketing and your results.

4. THE POWER OF THE MORNING PRACTICE

I’m a big believer that all the important things that are the top priority need to happen in the morning… or chances are they are not going to happen.

What I advise my clients to do, is to dedicate their time for marketing right after their morning spiritual practice. This approach has many benefits.

A part of the morning business ritual we preach at LDV Elite is for each client to write 3-5 simple steps that they will act on each day. For example: connect with 3 of your former clients, reach out to 3 new prospects on FB, instagram, or Linkedin.

TIP: End each day by reviewing your successes. If you fell short, try to understand why.

  • Were you interrupted by something that wasn’t important?
  • Did you procrastinate?

Learn from this process and you will find your results steadily improving very quickly.

5. CHANGE REQUIRES MINDFULNESS AND CONSISTENCY

Like most things that bring results in our life: from working out, dieting, and being in a loving relationship, attracting new clients requires consistency.

I once read a quote that resonated with me, “We become what we want to be by consistently being what we want to become each day.”

Every new habit takes time to become our new routine, it requires practice and repetition.

TIP: In order for you to see results you need to find an alignment with your marketing actions. The alignment comes from being connected with your business goals and desires daily and embracing the fact that this is what you do and who you are.

Commit yourself to this process and I know that like many of my clients you will see results quickly. Just make the time, make a commitment and take a step each day.
