Peek into my carry on. My travel essentials. Video #2

I love July!

It’s a month of celebration for me. Last weekend we celebrated my daughter’s, Sonia, birthday in Chicago and next week is my husband’s birthday! We are going away for a couple of days to relax, unwind, and just be together.

Ok, that’s not the end of the celebration… at the end of the month we are going to celebrate my birthday :).

I hope you are having the best Summer this year!

Today I have a new video for you from my new series Peek Into My Carry On where I share with you my travel essential check-list.

In my first video I talked about the food, drinks, and snacks I pack into my carry on. If you didn’t have a chance to watch my first video I suggest that you go back and watch it because it has really great tips on how to avoid a situation when you get to the airport and there is absolutely nothing healthy to eat. Click here to watch video #1.

In today’s video I would love to talk about all the little things that make my trip more relaxing, luxurious, and simply make me feel good when I travel.

Enjoy the video and see my Travel Essential Check-list below.

I wish you great summer travels. Bon voyage!

Sending you lots of love.

#1 My guided meditations downloaded to my iPad or my iPhone.

When we travel it’s very easy to spiral into the energy of rushing, to get to the airport on time, being surrounded by so many people, and so often feeling uncomfortable sitting and waiting and then traveling for hours. Meditation is part of my daily spiritual practice and it works miracles when I travel. Just 15 or 20 minutes of meditation gives me a sense of peace and relaxation.

#2 Yonka Paris facial spray that moisturizes, refreshes, and works as a toner.

My skin gets very dry especially when I travel by plane, and the light mist helps me keep my skin beautifully hydrated. This facial toner contains essential oils and it feels and smells absolutely amazing. You can get the spray bottles in a travel size at certain spas or on You can also use Evian facial spray that you can get at most drug stores.

#3 Essential oils. I love traveling with a small bottle of my favorite essential oils like peace and calming or joy by Young Living. All I need is just a drop or two on the palm of my hands for instant relaxation. You can also use essential oils on your pillow just before you go to bed for more peaceful sleep or a luxurious aromatherapy bath. The essential oils I use are therapeutic grade and are a combination of several ingredients like lavender, tangerine, orange, and ylang – ylang is designed to help us relax and release tensions.

#4 My inflatable pillow. I use one for my neck and one for my lower back. These pillows don’t take any space in your carry on because you can just take the air out and fold them down.

#5 My journal. I journal everywhere, at home, on the plane, and on the beach. I have my journal with me all the time. My favorite spiritual practice is keeping my gratitude journal. There are so many things in my life, and I’m sure in your life as well, that I feel grateful for but I also feel that I need to keep myself constantly reminded about them. Just a couple minutes of focusing my attention on what’s going well in my life changes the whole energy of the day.

Your new assignment is to use my travel-essential list and try my tips the next time you travel. Maybe now you’ll be comfortable enough to do all the traveling you weren’t able to do before!
