The Jetsetter’s Secrets To A Divine Body and Vibrant Health While Traveling.

I love travels! Every couple of weeks I feel renewed, energized and rejuvenated by my next trip.

I especially love the excitement of preparing for my next trip as I’m writing this article. What a perfect timing to share with you how to stay Slim and Healthy While Traveling, relaxing, dining… and wining.

Since good nutrition is my passport to A Divine Body, Vibrant Health and Blissful Life I don’t leave it at home when I go away on vacation or travel for business.

I’ve created this Jetsetter’s Guide To A Divine Body and Vibrant Healthy While Traveling for you so you can get back from your next trip or vacation relaxed, refreshed and still fitting into the same size clothes, without gaining those few extra pounds.

For me it all starts with My Travel Day…

1. Don’t forget your smoothie in the morning!!!

Even when you are up and at some ridiculous hour to catch an early, 4AM flight, having your smoothie to start your day of travel will make a big difference in how you feel as you and your body are transported from station to station (car to airport to plane to airport to car …..) before you finally arrive at your destination.
TIP! I prepare my smoothie the night before by putting all the ingredients into the blender so the next morning I just add some water and press the start button.
I drink it on my way to the airport.

I always have a few snacks in my carry on with me. One of my favorite is the SunWarrior protein shake with greens and probiotics!
I use a combination of the Raw Reserve Green Superfoods which are powdered greens with probiotics and the SunWarrior protein shake. Both are a great plant-based meal replacement, perfect for traveling and filled with vitamins and minerals (no gluten, dairy, soy or sugar!).

The shake comes in many flavors, but my favorite one is chocolate.

All you need to do is mix the two packets with a cup or two of cold water AND voila, you have a nutritious and very tasty snack ready in seconds.

TIP! In addition to my shake I also take with me:

– a fruit salad or a peeled orange, nectarine, apple or pear

– baby carrots and hummus

– nuts, for example: almonds or walnuts

– and of course… some dark chocolate and a selection of herbal teas

By having a ready snack on hand at all times, you will keep yourself from arriving at your destination feeling totally starved. So, instead of being ready to wolf down large volumes of whatever when you finally arrive (or, worse yet on the plane), you are feeling good and in balance and ready to enjoy good food and good times.

3. Renia’s colorful salad.

Okay, my friends, family members and airport security know that I travel with my food… and sometimes they make fun of me. I don’t mind because I LOVE MY SALAD AND… I don’t leave my house without it!

You never know whether your flight will arrive on time or a few hours later.

I make my salad at home or I order it at a salad bar or a restaurant and I take it with me to the airport. Taking my salad with me gives me peace of mind that I will have a healthy meal that will make me feel good.

I know what I will be eating so I don’t have to figure out what I’m going to get and where when I get to the airport.

I can just have my salad, my snack, drink my tea, and relax and enjoy my trip. I make my salad really large and filled with greens, colorful veggies, beans, mushrooms, sprouts, olives, avocados, nuts and seeds and I use a light lemon dressing.

While you are on vacation your number 1, 2, and 3 priorities are to RELAX and have FUN!

For me, I don’t like the “weighted down” feeling one gets from eating too much heavy food; but, I do like to treat myself and enjoy the pleasures of fine food and other forms of good relaxation.

I personally find these pleasures to be most enjoyable when I follow my principles for staying in balance while adding more treats than I usually do…

So, here’s how I stay in balance so that I get the most pleasure out of my indulgences:

  1. A fruit heavy breakfast.

Maybe not a smoothie but I almost always try to include a large fruit salad and juice in my morning menu. It’s what I am used to eating and like to eat…   and it keeps me feeling light and energetic.

  1. Stay Green.

While indulging in some non-green treats, make sure that there is still plenty of green in your meals. Salads, soups, especially vegetable-based soups, grilled or steamed vegetables and other good side dishes are a wonderful complement to whatever treat you choose to enjoy.

  1. Hydrate!!!

The multiple benefits of hydration (especially if you are spending a lot of time outdoors or exercising) are just as important on vacation.

I love adding lemon or Ultima Replenisher to my water for extra flavor, taste and sweetness. This product is sugar free and sweetened with stevia extract.

  1. Take your probiotics with you.

Your gut contains 70% of your immune system therefore, if your gut is overflowing with bad bacteria and yeast you are more exposed to getting sick on the plane.

One of the ways to reestablish the good flora in your gut and create more energy, beauty and faster weight loss is by taking probiotic supplements that contain strains of live bacteria. Take your probiotics at night to maximize their effectiveness.

I recommend the following: Once Daily Women’s with 50 Billion Live Cultures!

It is great for traveling since you do not store it in the refrigerator.

  1. Keep your nose from drying on the plane.

Keeping your body hydrated is the best way to keep your nose from drying. These means HYDRATING before and during your plane ride and avoiding beverages that serve as diuretics, such as coffee, alcohol and most teas (except herbal teas like mint, chamomile and ginger).

TIP: Saline nose sprays are amazing and can be purchased over the counter but over the years I’ve created my own formula. I use a blend of Colloidal Silver and Samento, a great defense against bacteria, viruses and allergens on the plane. All you need is a small nasal spray bottle, 10 ppm colloidal silver and a few drops of Samento.

  1. Walk a lot.

And, exercise if you can. If you are on a sight-seeing trip, walk whenever possible. If on the beach, walk on the beach. At the end of the day you will be a healthy kind of tired that will make it easy to sleep well at night.

  1. Catch up on your Beauty Sleep to allow your body to restore and heal at night. Restful sleep restores your skin, decreases inflammation and it is one of the best anti aging processes that allows your cells to repair.

TIP: If you are changing time zones often and have problems sleeping I suggest SomaRest, a plant-based, herbal supplement that will help you fall asleep with ease and wake up refreshed.

By following My Jetsetter’s Guide To A Divine Body and Vibrant Healthy While Traveling, I find it easier to relax, have fun and truly enjoy traveling and treating myself to guilt-free pampering while vacationing! And, isn’t that what traveling is all about?

Bon Voyage!
